Sophmore raises caps
No longer going to have the sophomore status which capped 2nd year players at $5.
Why?
- its a hassle for me
- most owners don't even understand it
- since salaries are going down with new structure for players that don't perform and overall, those that do deserve the raise.
Auction
Minimum bid for auction is $2 so when you throw out a player you are automatically bidding $2. Note free agents that are remaining after the auction will be $1.
Reminder of offseason
- Trading and drops will open up after fantrax rolls over to the new season which will happen sometime after end of MLB season
- NO ADDS of any kind. NO claiming unlisted on Proboards either
- When you make a trade you must not go higher than your current level or $500/35 players whichever is higher at the time of the trade. If you do, you have 24 hours to become compliant.
- so once you are at $500 and 35, just keep your roster at or under those number after trades
- if you are at $600 and 40 players. After you make a trade you should be at or below those number
- the reason for this is to prevent teams from making trade after trade. Building up a huge roster and then trying to trade them before the auction
Reminders on auction/caps
- Season caps are $500. 35 majors, 50 minors
- Auction max is $400 . you will have to get to $400 or less just before the auction.
- Max you can spend IN the auction is $300. If you have more cap room it is ignored for the acution
- Max spots you can auction is 20. Once again if you have more open major spots those will be ignored in the auction but you will have to remove $1 for each position over 20 open spots
- With new $2 minimum. you will have to have $2 for each spot available in auction. We have always done this but it is open for discussion as we get closer to the auction. The only issue I see is that in auction for 5 spots you would need $10. but if you chose note to auction those , after the auction you would only need $1. However I would not be able to make the minimum $2 but must leave $1 per spot on the software
